Chapter 111: Chapter 111 Obedient
Legend says that the king of ancient Rome was usurped by his brother through conspiracy, and the king\'s two children were thrown into the water. Fortunately, a she-wolf nourished the two infants with her milk, and later, a kind-hearted shepherd adopted the babies.
The story was narrated in archaic text on the black stele, which added a legendary aura to the tale.
This could be placed in the cultural section of the wolf exhibit to help reduce visitors\' negative impressions of wolves, allowing them to appreciate wolves with a more peaceful mindset.
As for Tortoise, the reward was a flip-card booklet that recorded the patterns and distributions of various kinds of terrestrial tortoises—it would also make for a nice exhibit item.
Then, naturally, it was time to move the animals to their new homes.
Together with Lan Li and Meng Shi, a few animal keepers, and the transport cage cars, they headed straight for the wolf enclosure.
"Charcoal! How was your day?"
Upon entering the wolf enclosure, Fang Ye greeted.
The Big Salted Fish prop that had been placed in the wolf enclosure before was now broken. Although the system\'s props were of good quality, they couldn\'t withstand Charcoal hugging and tearing at them every day—it only took a few days for it to turn into a pile of scraps.
Later, a rubber tire was added to the enclosure as an enrichment toy. However, Charcoal\'s energy was incredibly high, and he especially enjoyed tearing at such things. Besides snuggling with Mizzle, he would bite at the tire and drag it around everywhere in the enclosure.
Even Mizzle, who wasn\'t that interested initially, couldn\'t help but start biting along, and within a few days, the tire was also reduced to pieces, consumed at an extremely fast rate.
Today, they were moving homes, at last giving them a place to romp and play to their hearts\' content.
Seeing that it was Fang Ye who\'d come, Charcoal, who had been lying next to Mizzle, got up immediately from the ground, showing his teeth and tongue, panting excitedly and bounding towards him, his tail swinging broadly.
Mizzle observed the animal keepers outside the enclosure cautiously from behind, seemingly contemplating what all these keepers were doing here today and if there was any danger.
Fang Ye was ready to welcome them! He knelt down on one knee, his face brimming with a smile.
Outside the fence, Meng Shi commented mockingly, "Looking at how it\'s dashing and crashing with its tongue hanging out, I always feel like this is a Husky..."
Lan Li pondered seriously, "Maybe there really is a kinship with Huskies? Like, maybe its mom was a wolf, and its dad was a Husky or something."
Just as Charcoal came within a meter of Fang Ye, he crouched down and then lunged forward! Fang Ye instantly felt a strong force pushing him; if it weren\'t for his one-knee bracing stance, he would have definitely been toppled over.
Charcoal\'s two big, furry paws landed on Fang Ye\'s shoulders, and his black nose deeply sniffed his scent. He extended his rough tongue and began to lick Fang Ye\'s chin very enthusiastically, his warm breath hitting his face.
It was as if he was saying, "Hey, Director, I haven\'t seen you for so long, I missed you! Let me give you a lick and see what you ate today, check if you\'re healthy or not!"
Wolves possess a keen sense of inquiry and observe meticulously—thus, they can do some very incredible and even seemingly inconceivable things.
In the wild, wolves observe their prey before hunting, keenly noticing any illnesses or injuries that might not be apparent at first glance, even to advanced scientific instruments. But wolves can pinpoint these afflictions with precision and then commence the hunt.
In other words, they can smell the scent of death.
Charcoal wanted to lick his lips, but Fang Ye intentionally raised his head a bit, allowing it only to lick his chin, after all, wolf greetings are fairly wild.
After rubbing Charcoal\'s fluffy cheeks with both hands and pinching his nose, he said, "Good boy, that\'s about enough! Stop licking already."
Mizzle ran over lightly from the side, waited patiently for around five seconds, but Charcoal seemed to have no intention of stopping at all!
Mizzle, growing impatient, took a step forward and nudged Charcoal with her head!
Charcoal, his nose being pinched, shook his head uncomfortably and slid down against Fang Ye\'s shoulder, giving Mizzle a bewildered look before turning back to continue licking his chin non-stop. Mizzle, who was usually quite ladylike, squinted her eyes and bared her sharp, gleaming teeth with a snarl, suddenly looking quite fierce.
"Do you have any manners? Do you not know who goes first?"

"Alright, alright, your turn!"
Charcoal sheepishly removed his paws from Fang Ye\'s shoulder, but Mizzle was not yet finished, suddenly she stood up, pressed her paws down on Charcoal\'s neck, and pushed him to the ground with a forceful press, opening her mouth threateningly as if to bite.
"Getting more and more unruly, eh? Not teaching you a lesson today, you wouldn\'t know who\'s the boss of this house!"
Charcoal, pressed down by Mizzle\'s paws, belly up and legs in the air, let out a series of short whimpers, clearly pleading, "I\'m wrong, I\'m wrong! Wife, stop hitting me!"
However, coupled with his deep voice, the scene appeared somewhat comical; despite his submissive plea, it sounded as though a burly, bearded hulk of a man was squeaking out girlish coquettish phrases like "my little fists will pound your chest."
Fang Ye still kept his chin up, but Mizzle, apparently dissatisfied with only reaching his chin, rose on her hind legs a bit higher. Fang Ye lifted his neck, gently pushing her head to the side, yet Mizzle persisted, determined to lick his mouth!
Fang Ye complained, "Ay Mizzle, don\'t!"
Mizzle pressed down hard with her paws, her presence very dominant as if she was authoritatively saying, "Obey!"
Under Mizzle\'s coercion, Fang Ye reluctantly removed his hands, no longer resisting.
Mizzle examined very carefully, holding onto Fang Ye\'s shoulder, her head tilting to the side, rerorerorero!
Charcoal, watching from the side with his mouth open and tail wagging slightly, was full of envy, wishing he could take over.
To be the wolf licking Fang Ye.
The animal keepers watched from outside, half surprised, half unsurprised; unsurprised because this is just how wolves show friendliness in greetings, or rather, in the language of most furry animals, licking denotes friendliness,
Lan Li blushed shyly, turned her head away, hso, refusing to watch these displays.
