Chapter 173 Prank

Sandringham House was the beloved private country home of Queen Elizabeth.

From its tidal mudflats and fruit farms to the famous museum and gardens, it\'s an estate that has seen many a royal occasion, but it\'s best known as the home where the Windsors spend their Christmases.

Due to some circumstances, the Queen was staying at this place. Thus, the meeting was also scheduled at this place.

As soon as Samuel reached the Estate, he could see several people waiting in front of the gate.

Being the retreat home of the Queen meant that it had to match her stature. Just looking at the gate was enough of a glimpse of what was waiting for him inside.

Only Jane followed him inside; it was rude to take too many people to meet her. Jane being the centre of everything, would be ideal if he wanted to explain their progress till now.

" Young master, her majesty has been expecting you." The head butler bowed slightly. They all knew his identity; thus, it was only given to show respect.

" Thank you. I will follow you." Samuel said politely. It was not known to the public, but the attendant of the Queen was also of high status, but because of the pact they made, they had to serve the monarchy.

The butler also gave him such a feeling. They had to take a vehicle to reach the main building; it was huge, still smaller than the Rothschild estate but much more prominent than Buckingham Palace.

" Here, she is waiting inside."

" Ok, I will head inside. Jane follows after me." It was her first time meeting the Queen. Yesterday when Samuel broke the news to her, she was dumbfounded.

She never expected him to bring her along, but Samuel insisted. She had no choice but to follow his command.

" I am here. You don\'t have to be so nervous." Seeing the complex expression on her face, he tried to reassure her.

" That is easy for you to say. Can\'t I stay behind? What if I do something to offend her? Will I be beheaded?" She became a broken record of endless questions.

" Whoa, Whoa. Your creativity is colourful, but She is not the tyrant you are making her be."

" You are saying it because you are related! I can\'t believe I never knew about it. You have the immunity, but I don\'t!" Although she said it with an angry expression, her voice was shallow. How scared is she? Maybe I could-

Samuel had an evil thought; he had a menacing smile as he looked at her.

" Huh, What\'s with that strange smile? I don\'t like this."

Before she could say anything, the Queen called them from the inside. It was their cue to go in.

" You know how surprised I was when you wanted to see me." The Queen walked over and gave him a light hug. Samuel had grown taller over the year, and she also noticed it.

" I am sorry for suddenly asking for you." Samuel was surprised; arguably, the most important thing to remember was that you should never touch the monarch and only shake her hand if she offered it.

" Good, you looked much better when I first met you." She didn\'t notice his expression. For her, it was normal.

" Thank you."

" But I don\'t like your current look. Your previous hair suited you more."

" What can I do? It was needed for the role. But you should get used to it."

" Hmm? Why?" She was puzzled.

" For one, I will be doing the sequels. So, I have to stay like this."

" Right, I forgot that you are already a star. I was astonished when I heard you got the role."

" Me too, Sorry you had to find out from others. I should have informed-"

" No need to be like that. I understand that you were busy; you are here for work-related concerns that speak volumes about your schedule." She spoke casually. She also noticed Jane standing behind him like a statue.

" My, who is this? I heard that the Hanson boy went back to his house. Is she his replacement?" She asked.

" She is Jane Foster. She is assisting me on an important mission. Jane?" Samuel said. He began debating whether to go ahead with his \'plan\'.

" It is an honour to meet your majesty. I am Jane Foster, serving as young master\'s security detail." Jane said with a graceful bow. She was very much in control of the situation.

" Raise your head; there is no one here you can speak casually to me in private."

" I would not dare to do such a thing." She was adamant.

" Jane, in a situation like this, you should shake her hand. She told you she doesn\'t mind." Samuel said something out of the ordinary.

The Queen also stared at him, but he just gave her a nod in return. What was he planning? she thought.

" R-right." Jane walked forward; as soon as she tried to stretch her hand, she tipped over something invisible.

She tried to gain a footing, but with nothing to hold on to, she fell over while hugging the Queen\'s thighs.

" Ah"

" Oh?"

"???" The Queen was puzzled but saw she definitely saw it. It was he who made her fall on purpose.

Jane, who realised what she had done, was deathly pale. She just touched the Queen without her permission. She was done for! In a swift motion, she went down on all fours.

" Please forgive me! I don\'t want to die! It was an accident!" She begged.

What she feared the most had come true! That was why she didn\'t want to attend this meeting.

She was still bowing her head and hearing no reply, she became restless. Suddenly, she heard muffled sounds; when she peeked by turning sideways, she saw Samuel holding his mouth, trying to suppress his laughter.

When Samuel realised he was caught, he stopped suppressing it and began giggling extensively.

" You don\'t have to lie down. You did nothing wrong; he tipped you over." The Queen explained while looking at the culprit.

" What?" Jane understood everything. The boss planned everything!

" Boss, you are so mean! I can\'t believe you would do something like this!" She began chasing Samuel, who was already running.

" I am sorry, but I can\'t help it. It was worth the effort!"

" I was so scared! What if I died of a heart attack!"

It went on few minutes, during which the head butler served refreshments and some snacks for the guests.

When he first saw them, he wanted to stop them, but the Queen stopped him. She told him what happened, hearing which he was even more surprised.

" Leave them be; I don\'t know how long it has been since someone played a prank in my presence."

" As far as I remember, never, your majesty. No one was that impudent."

" It is refreshing, though, Kids having fun. There is nothing foolish about it."

" But they should do it in moderation. Including you, majesty-" He wanted to continue, but only a quick glance at the Queen was enough.

With his years of experience, he knew clearly what those eyes meant. He skillfully changed the subject.

" You, majesty, you have another lunch appointment. She will be arriving soon." He reminded her.

" Right, I forgot. It\'s that day."

" Yes."

" I should finish here then." She said and asked him to call them over. It was getting time for Queen\'s schedule for the meeting.
