Chapter 150: First Opening

Noah looked at her as a smile formed on his face.

"Thanks for offering."

She nodded her head shyly and just stood at the side watching the family work.

The first customer quickly arrived at the front desk.

"Is there a sample?"

"Yes, of course, it’s right here," David said, as he pointed at the tiny cup that held at most one sip of the tea.

The man nodded, reaching out to the small cup of tea.

Bringing the cup to his mouth slowly... he took a sip.

After taking the sip, his body released all kinds of happy hormones.

The crowd looked at him in anticipation.

"Hey, is it good? What does it taste like?" a woman behind him asked, as she saw him just standing there.

"Is he okay?" Another asked, seeing that he wasn’t moving.

The man finally reacted to his surroundings, ignoring them all.

He looked at David standing behind the counter and quickly reached for his wallet.

Patting every part of his body.

"Damn it, where did I put this damn wallet!" He cursed, as he tried to find his wallet.

"There it is," He said as he checked the inner pocket of his jacket.

Opening the wallet, he took out all the cash inside and placed it on the table.

"That’s $100, give me as much as this can get me," He said in a hurried tone.

"Sir, $100 will get you 10g of Thompson’s tea." David replied in a kind tone.

"10g only? isn’t that like 3 cups of tea?" He said, his brows knitting in as he frowned.

"No sir, our tea is high quality. You only need one gram to experience the taste you just did. So this will get you ten cups of tea."

"Bu-"

Before the man can continue, Noah stepped in.

"Sorry sir, you are getting an amazing price for our tea. In fact, our tea will return to its original price from tomorrow."

"We are hosting a 50% sale on our first day of opening only, as you tasted our tea is without a doubt the best in the market. You will never get tea with this quality at the price we are putting today."

"In fact, not to be rude. But you will never even see tea of this quality," He added, his facial expressions calm.

"If you feel like it’s too expensive then the place isn’t for you, nor is the tea, sir."

"Don’t overcomplicate it, either buy it or leave the store. Thank you for your understanding," He said, his tone final.

The man hesitated, but after thinking about what Noah said, he nodded.

"That makes sense, I apologise for my earlier behaviour."

"I still want the 10g of Thompson tea, thank you." He said, with a wry smile.

"Thank you for your purchase," David said, as he handed him the small luxurious bag of tea.

"Next."

The next customer came and bought some too.

"Next."

Hours passed by very quickly until it was starting to get dark.

The queue was still long, David showed a wry smile as excitement boiled inside of him.

"Sorry guys, we are going to close today as it’s getting late," Noah said, as he addressed the people waiting outside.

"We will open tomorrow morning again, do drop by if you are till interested." He added.

Noticing that the crowd was getting restless, he said.

"We will be giving five free samples as a thank you for waiting for so long. Three will be given to the first three on the line and the last two will be randomly given."

After giving the first three samples, they showed the same reaction as everyone before them.

"I will definitely be here tomorrow morning," The woman said, as she left after drinking the sample.

The other two agreed with her, after drinking the sample.

"Now, the last two samples will be given randomly. The remaining people will be entered into an online roulette. You will all be assigned a number from first in line to last."

"Whatever number it falls on, the person will get tea," Noah said, as he opened his phone.

"The first winner is number 69!." Noah said as he looked at the line.

After counting, he said.

"You, step out," he pointed at a little girl in a wheelchair.

The girl immediately got excited, along with her guardian who was pushing her wheelchair.

"Yay, we won, Mom!" She exclaimed as she couldn’t wait to try it out.

A person who was standing next to her frowned and shouted.

"Stop! Where do you think you are going?"

"I’m clearly number 69! Why are you trying to take my prize?" He spat out in an aggressive manner.

Noah and everyone else frowned at his behaviour.

"Calm down, if you shout again you won’t like the consequences," Noah said, in a cold tone.

"But I am number 69, just because she is disabled doesn’t mean she has privileges." The man said as he glared at the little girl.

The crowd stilled, their eyes between Noah and the man, subtle frowns tightening their expressions.

Whispers travelled through the air, heavy with disapproval of the man’s actions.

Noah met the man’s stare, his voice a low, piercing whisper, "Are you mentally challenged? Because it sure seems like it."

The man’s face flushed, but he bit his tongue, taken aback by Noah’s cold glare.

Noah’s voice sliced through the man’s attempt to protest.

"The girl isn’t disabled—you are." He leaned forward slightly, voice steady, unyielding. "And even if I did want to give it to her, what’s your issue? Is this my shop or yours?"

The crowd murmured in agreement, quiet praise for Noah slipping through the silence. "Good man," someone whispered, nodding approval.

A mother in the line pulled her child close, giving Noah a grateful smile for protecting the little girl.
