Chapter 307 I am no genius

“In fact, this upgraded Void Communicator utilizes a component of…”

Jessica Sands’ eyes suddenly shot wide open as she realized that she was treading very dangerously into an area that would be extremely hard to explain.

Void Communicators and Chilly Pancakes don’t exactly mix together very well!

Aunt Hills rolled her eyes inwardly and pretended to be extremely busy with her nails.

Jessica Sands sneaked a peek at Aunt Hills and sighed in relief.

“Ehm. Anyway, I have upgraded this Void Communicator. It should work well now. Here we go.” Jessica Sands pressed a button and the little device glowed into life.

“Elliot? This is Jessica Sands. Are you there?”

“Jessica? Hey! Your Void Communicator is pretty awesome. It can actually pierce through this crazy zombie’s Ancient Anomaly!” Came Elliot’s surprised voice.

“Yipeeee! It works!!” Jessica Sands whooped for joy!

“Oh? So you’re just experimenting with something new huh. Well done.” Elliot chuckled.

“Thanks. Hehehe. By the way, how are you doing there? Are you alright?” Jessica Sands asked.

“I am actually fine. I spent the past few days practicing my new moves on her, and made pretty good progress.” Elliot laughed.

“You could actually practice your moves on her? Ancient Anomalies are spaces which completely belong to the Ancient, down to the very fabric of its reality. Surviving in it is already a mega achievement. You… what are you?” Jul’Taras asked with a slight tinge of jealousy.

First Jessica Sands, now Elliot Musk.

Their levels of genius were putting her completely to shame!

“Yes. I am learning the complete sword technique belonging to Tyrius from Gilgamar. I should be done in a few more days.” Elliot said casually.

“The Ancient Anomaly has no effect on my Cosmic Dragon Energy. So I am actually free to move around. Thank goodness I have the Ring of Absolute Stealth and the Teardrop Armor though. Without them, it would be extremely tricky to survive in this place.”

“Yes. I figured that with those two, you would have no problems surviving in the Ancient Anomaly.” Jul’Taras nodded.

“It’s good that you’re okay.” Jessica Sands said with relief in her voice. “I have a gift for you. I made it myself. Here you go!”

Jessica Sands touched the Void Communicator and it immediately glowed iridescently. Red, blue, green, orange, black, white and finally, a colorless glow.

“Hmmmmm. Jessica, these are some mighty looking runes you’ve sent me.” Elliot said in surprise. He couldn’t keep the awe out of his voice. “You are such a genius! In fact, genius isn’t enough to describe you.”

The images of the runes which appeared in his mind were so magnificent and so epic that he felt like a little boy studying the complete blueprint of an interstellar, interdimensional mothership!

Jessica Sands giggled like the fangirl that she was and her ears turned a little pink.

“It’s so massive, I don’t even know where to start. But somehow, I can sense its many functions. Is there something like an automatic defense in it?” Elliot asked.

“Wooowww! Elliot, you can actually tell?” Jessica Sands squealed excitedly. “Are you a Runic Genius like me as well?”

Monkey King, Jul’Taras and Aunt Hills could feel their lips twitching slightly.

But they held back their comments.

However she chose to put it, it was true. She was indeed a “Runic Genius”.

In fact, if she lay hold of the genius adjective, then by that measure alone, there would be no other genius in the universe!

None were qualified to share the same label as her!

Well, none except this equally monstrous genius of a boy, apparently.

“I am no genius.” Elliot laughed in a relaxed manner. “I was just lucky enough to have my soul sort of merge with a Dragon Soul which turned out to be a Rune Master while he was still alive. I got all of his knowledge about runes.”

BAM! BOOM!

BAM! BOOM!

BAM! BOOM!

BAM! BOOM!

Those sounds were the sounds of 4 heads slamming against walls and smashing those walls into pieces.

Jul’Taras, Monkey King, Aunt Hills and… El’Taras.

“Merge with a Dragon Soul?! Impossible! And that Dragon Soul was previously a Rune Master? Ridiculous! He gained all of his knowledge on runes? WHAT THE BLEEDING F***?!?!” Chairman El’Taras couldn’t help but curse really loudly in his mind!

Just how lucky was this young man?

It’s preposterous!

It’s crazy!

It’s unacceptable!

It’s… why didn’t Lady Luck give me some of his luck?!

All of them were completely dumbfounded… except for Jessica Sands, who were merely excited.

And happy that she finally found someone who could probably speak her language!

“Wowww! Rune Master? Hey, do you know how to solve this? I’ve been working on this for the past few minutes and I got stuck. I need to unravel these runes into whole runes…” Jessica Sands immediately started a deeply technical discussion about a very specific rune which she was trying to deconstruct.

“Hmmmm. I haven’t seen this rune before. I mean, the Dragon Soul hadn’t seen it before. But it does look strangely familiar. I think this right here is a mini rune.” Elliot commented casually and entered into a discussion with Jessica Sands.

All around him, Ancient Mayat’s undead energy was actually swirling about in a high intensity wide area of effect attack! But it was completely useless against Elliot who had his aptly named Teardrop Armor on.

He was completely impervious to physical, magic and soul attack.

Talk about being overpowered!

No wonder Ancients would go crazy when they learn that a Teardrop of the Gods was available!

“A mini rune? I don’t think so. It lacks the necessary structures.” Jessica Sands shook her head lightly and disagreed.

“Yes, that’s why it is called a mini rune. The structures it requires are actually shared… here. In this section. They dual function as runic structures for this bunch of mini runes over here.”

“No, I mean, yes the pathway is there. But it would never take that route. Why would it? It’ll use this pathway instead.”

“On a normal day, yes. But what about during a storm?”

Jul’Taras: …

Aunt Hils: …

El’Taras: …

The four of them were instantly completely lost.
