Chapter 104

The two kingdoms had showcased a fraction of their strength in this battle and Damon sincerely believed they were hiding a lot more. In fact, when speaking of hiding, one can easily remember the blood clan. So far, apart from the lady who was able to harden her blood and skin, Damon hasn’t met any formidable enemy amongst the blood clan leading him to believe they are yet to make their move.

But what exactly can they do to turn the tides of battle?

The four great armies of the four kingdoms camped together and prepared for battle together. For now, there has been no sign of hostility between the allied forces but that made Damon believe something big was coming. He just knew the blood clan won’t let things end so easily.

“Hey?” A confused and reluctant feminine voice came from outside causing Damon to frown.

He quickly sat up as he watched the tent entrance gently swing open as Elsa Leaf walked in with a hesitant look on her face as she entered. Damon found this cute but as far as he is concerned she is a potential enemy. Even though he couldn’t feel any sort of evil intentions from her, he knew mingling with her would only end badly. He still had a girlfriend by the way so he couldn’t act recklessly around other girls.

“What do you want?” Damon slowly got on his feet with his upper half covered in bandages. If he wasn’t putting on his armor, he would have suffered from far more damage than this.

He may even end up losing his life. His wounds weren’t healing as fast as usual! The strength of the vampire race over the werewolves could be seen clearly on Damon’s pale face.

“I -I know you have a fierce battle tomorrow so I considered helping you heal your wounds” Elsa said timidly while looking to the ground.

.....

Listening to this, Damon’s fierce gaze softened and he finally walked over to a nearby stool to sit.

“You don’t have to worry about that... I will have someone come over and handle my injuries” Damon said calmly but Elsa shook her head in refusal.

“Blood wounds are hard to heal. Only the elves have a means of quickening the healing process. No one else can help you as effectively as I can unless you have your Pope come over here” Elsa said as she walked up to the sitting Damon. Standing over him with her large eyes looking into his own.

In normal circumstances, Damon wouldn’t even let a person this close but there was something about this lady that kept pushing him off his rhythm, making him believe he must have feelings for her.

Damon watched as Elsa knelt in front of him and waved her hands. A cold breeze blew within the tent as a body of water formed around her palms. Her slender Jade hands crept towards Damon’s chest, sending cool energy through his chest and into his wounds.

Damon could feel it, his wounds were healing rapidly but he could also feel the power rejecting the treating method. This power within him was threatening to explode at any moment! But considering the difference in their strength Damon wasn’t too confident he could win.

By using this technique alone, Damon could get a glance at Elsa’s level.

“A champion realm expert, so strong... You shouldn’t waste your energy on me” Damon gently grabbed her hands and pulled them off his chest.

For some reason, the death magic within him was threatening to react to her treatment and that’s why he had to stop it.

“This...” Elsa muttered as she felt Damon’s firm grip holding on to her hands.

Her eyes quivered as she gazed into Damon’s eyes and for a moment she was lost. All she could see and feel from him was resentment, hatred, and the need to kill. She couldn’t tell why Damon felt this way but the moment she placed her hands on his chest, she saw his past and possible future.

“You can’t die... I felt it all... You are not normal” Elsa said with crystal clear eyes piercing directly into Damon’s soul.

His eyes narrowed at this and his left hand slowly reached for the broadsword placed by the side while his right hand swept across her face and held her by the back of her neck, pulling her closer.

“What do you mean by you have felt it all?” Damon asked in a calm tone.

Elsa was pulled so close to him, that she wouldn’t even be able to see his hand reaching for the blade.

“You want to kill everything and everyone but even if you succeed, what next? What happens after that? I can’t specifically see, I can feel your hidden emotions because I am special too” Elsa said as she held her robe and pulled it open, revealing her firm bosoms.

In between the gap was an emerald crystal filled with immense natural energy, for a moment Damon was lost for words as a single thought raced into his mind.

“Nature Guardian spirit host...” Damon muttered in shock as he gazed at the young, beautiful elf.

“For your sake, I will only say this once... The elves decided to keep their hosts alive... so did the orcs and the dwarves... You are the death mage but they don’t know.. they can’t feel it... they shouldn’t. You should take extra care and try to hide yourself from sight. Don’t act too recklessly!” Elsa warned with a stern look which made Damon frown.

Wrapping his head around the fact that she is a host is one thing but the other information she gave seemed brief and sudden. Considering the fact that she began backing away from him, Damon knew she was hiding more information from him. His grip on her stiffened as he pulled her towards him and allowed his lips to press against hers.

At first, Elsa was stunned and didn’t know how to react but Damon’s tongue invaded her mouth, giving her an immense warm feeling. Her body shivered as she tightened her grip on Damon and pushed him away before falling to the ground on her butt. Her eyes filled with confusion and questions but she couldn’t find the words to ask.

“You are the nature Guardian spirit host. Judging from your age and background I am sure you are an original host, unlike me... you knew what I was before I came here.... Am I correct?” Damon gazed into her eyes while he spoke. He didn’t seem moved or disturbed by the kiss he had given her a few minutes ago.

.........

A strong stench of blood surged into Damon’s nostrils making him frown. Without hesitation, he felt the power that shouldn’t even be allowed to exist. Immortality is not something a mere mortal should aspire to acquire.

Damon slowly stood up with a stern look as he gazed towards the entrance of his tent with a frown.

“They are here... I know. This is also where you are meant to die...” Elsa Leaf said with a strange look in her eyes as she spoke.

Her eyes seemed strangely lit up, somehow allowing her to see into the future briefly. She wasn’t too sure about the bad omen she felt when she came here but now that she has made physical contact with Damon and had also kissed him, she was sure about it.

Whatever Damon planned to do would lead to his death tonight. She had simply come here to confirm before knowing how to deal with the problem next but now, none of that mattered.

Damon is the death magic host with a link to both the living and the end. As the nature Guardian spirit host, she could only glimpse into the future of those around her but that was just it. Whatever was about to happen tonight, only Damon can spot it before it escalates to an irredeemable level.

That was the main reason she came here. To use Damon’s help to find the first blood that would come to this camp. That enemy will end up killing Damon and they will lose the war.

“Die? Hmph? Do I look like I fear death?” Damon asked with a cold look but Elsa didn’t seem moved. Instead, she seemed even more determined.

“You don’t have to do a thing. Something major is definitely happening tonight that will change the tides of war. Many will die and you are meant to be one of them. That’s why I came here, to protect you” Elsa finally revealed her intentions to Damon while gazing at him closely as if she was looking for some sort of reaction from him.
